This Grade II listed farmhouse, owned by a national agricultural land holdings company, required complete refurbishment to bring it to a high standard of living accommodation.
The project needed to be split into two phases due to the bats who had also decided to take residence!
Phase 1 was the full replacement of M&E, internal partitioning to reconfigure rooms, new flooring throughout, plastering and decorations, joinery, installation of flues and wood burning stoves, new kitchen, utility and bathrooms. 18 new windows, sliding sash and casement, plus 2 external doors were made in our joiners shop to comply with Conservation Regulations. The project was fast tracked to allow the delighted tenants occupation for the Christmas period.
The Twenty Five team will return in the summer of 2020 to replace the roof and undertake works to the top floor where all rooms require horse-hair plastering, flooring, decorations, ensuite and second fix M&E… once the bats have moved out!
